Few things stall a GoHighLevel launch like an A2P campaign rejected notice. Until your campaign is approved, your texts do not go out, your automations sit idle and your client asks why nothing is working. The good news is that most rejections come from a short list of fixable problems. This guide walks through each one, what reviewers are checking and how to fix it before you resubmit.
When you submit through the sub-account's Trust Center, LeadConnector passes your brand and campaign to The Campaign Registry and carrier vetting partners. Reviewers compare everything you submitted, including your website, opt-in form, privacy policy, sample messages and campaign description, and they reject when anything is missing or inconsistent. Since March 2026, TCR returns more specific error codes instead of generic rejection reasons, which makes it easier to see exactly what to fix.
The legal business name on the brand registration must match what reviewers find on your website and email domain. If the LLC is "Peak Home Services LLC" and the site says "Peak Plumbing", explain the DBA on the site's footer or About page.
Fix: align the legal name across the brand form, website footer, privacy policy and contact email domain.
Reviewers must be able to visit a working HTTPS site that describes the business. Placeholder pages and coming-soon screens fail.
Your opt-in form must tell the person who will text them, what kind of messages, how often, that message and data rates may apply, and how to get help or opt out.
Fix: add a disclosure like: "By checking this box, you agree to receive appointment and service texts from Peak Home Services. Message frequency varies. Msg and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out." Make the checkbox optional and unchecked.
If the form sits behind a login, inside an app or on paper, reviewers cannot see it.
Fix: describe the flow step by step in the campaign's message flow field and link to a public screenshot of the form.
Rejections happen when there is no privacy policy, more than one conflicting policy, or a policy that implies mobile data may be shared with third parties.
Fix: add a clause stating that mobile numbers and SMS consent are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.
Each sample should include your business name, reflect the real use case and include opt-out language. Samples for a use case you did not select cause rejections.
The HELP reply needs your brand name and a valid support phone or email, ideally on your own domain. The STOP reply must confirm the opt-out.
If you will send promotions, marketing must be declared as a use case, with samples that show it.
"Sending updates to customers" is not enough. Say who receives messages, why, how they opted in and what the messages contain.
SHAFT content (sex, hate, alcohol, firearms, tobacco) and cannabis are restricted or prohibited, and high-risk financial offers face extra scrutiny. Rejections for prohibited content generally cannot be fixed by resubmitting.

Legal name, EIN and address match official records
Website is live on HTTPS and names the business clearly
Opt-in form has the full disclosure and an unchecked, optional checkbox
Privacy policy includes the no-sharing SMS clause and links to terms
Terms page includes an SMS section with frequency, rates, HELP and STOP
Two or more sample messages per use case, each with brand name and STOP
Campaign description names the audience, purpose and opt-in method
Multi-location brands state which location the campaign covers
Support email or phone in the HELP message matches your domain
Carriers compare live traffic with what you registered. If you start sending promotions on a campaign registered only for appointment reminders, you risk filtering or suspension. Update the registration whenever your messaging changes.
How long does it take to get approved after resubmitting? Timelines vary from days to a few weeks depending on vetting queues and how complete your fixes are.
Can I text while my campaign is pending? Unregistered A2P traffic on 10-digit numbers is blocked by major carriers, so plan for no outbound texting until approval.
Do I need a separate campaign for marketing? If you will send promotions, marketing must be declared, either as its own campaign or as a use case within a mixed campaign.
Why was my campaign rejected when my competitor's was approved? Reviewers evaluate each submission's website, forms and policies individually, so small mismatches matter.
